Essential oils are just for smell, right?

Not when it comes to dōTERRA essential oils. These are the most pure aromatic compounds you can get your hands on (and what many health professionals now consider to be a main component for our health and well being). You'll come to experience/understand this too with time, trust me. Do your research; do not buy cheap oils from the shelf!!! They will be just that - smell!

Can I mix oils? This whole dilution process makes me nervous!

Yes, mix-match and play with your oils. Create combos that smell delicious to you. My diffuser is always pumping out some new combo for us to enjoy. When making up your own rollers and diluting your oils, just remember less more frequently is always best. Essential oils are natural so your body is going to use what it needs and rid of the rest. Dilute them while being smart and you're going to be just fine.

How do I become a wellness advocate and build this as a business?

First, get yourself a collection of oils and fall in love. You will see how they work for you and you will build up your own testimonies to share. THEN your passion will shine through when you are sharing and educating others on how to use them. NO, you do not need to have all the oils/products and NO, you do not have to have all the answers. How do I know which oil to use?

Use what you have. Oils are so versatile! So many oils are excellent choices for the same ailment. We are all built differently, so what works best for one person may not be what is best for the next. A little trial and error to see what best fits you while being in-tune with your body. The “Essential Life” book is a go-to resource for researching an ailment and which oils to try.

Do essential oils go bad?

Essentail oils have a very long shelf life. They do not expire or grow mold or yeast, however, they can change over time due to the following three factors. Oxygen, heat, and light all can effect the effectiveness of those little brown bottles. Oxidization being the biggest contributing factor. Tips: keep those lids on tight, keep out of direct sunlight, and try to keep them at a consistent room temperature.
